Traditional Style of a Country Curtain
Hanging a country curtain as a window covering broadcasts a classic, peaceful and homely look in a room. Fancy styles of a country curtain are used in living rooms or dens. These elegant curtains are made with rose lace or embroidery and have a country flair to them.

A more traditional country curtain is made of cotton with patterns such as plaid, checks, stripes, roses, cherries, daisy flowers, country toile,  or other country motifs. Many of the country curtain patterns are mixed for more complex and stylish patterns. Solid, dark pastels or mauve colors are also used for country curtains. This traditional type of country curtain is hung in kitchens or bathrooms, usually short in length.

Country curtain fabrics are commonly used when making café curtains. Like café curtains, other styles of hanging country curtains include a matching decorative topper or valence. This is especially common when hanging a fancier style of a country curtain, such as sheer curtains with lace or embroidery. Decorative hanging hardware is not used often for country curtain styles.
